Partner proposal:

NFR Partners

As being a internet media, we trust we will be able to change the 'internet face' of computer music. We are one of the only computer music sites, we take this with pride. Although we might not be the biggest internet computer music site, I think it's still worth investing in us. Our main idea is to get better over time, not instantly, for example: I have re-written the introduction twice now and will again until it pleases me as a good introduction (it's getting there).

The point of this website is to display computer music and help beginners and advanced users not just to choose their software, but show what can be done with those pieces of software. Computer Music magazine does it in some aspects ,but it seems that most of the medium involving around computer music are most concerned to have the newest software reviewed as quickly as possible.

Yes, we do have reviews. Yes, we want to review the newest software as quickly as possible, but that is not the main point of the website. This is why we need partners that can give us NFRs. Next I will point out some things about our reviews.

We will update our reviews usually when a new version of the product reviewed comes out, we re-look at the product in light of the updates and consider changing the rating it gets if necessary.

We will try to review products inside out, we will try to dive deep inside the world of your products, we will try to find out all the important things related to that product, how much more can you ask? Whether we succeed at this is up to you and the readers to decide. We try to make our reviews as good as possible, the reviews should not fall on trying. Whatever product that is related to computer music, no matter how bad or boring, we will review it!

Why would you let us review your product? There is no simple answer here, but it might increase the amount of sales, then again it might not. Still either way you can use our reviews to show possible buyers that the product has been tested and how it scored.

To any company or individual who gives us products for review, we can promise at least 3 days of banner time, the time you get varies on the amount of other companies' banners. With banner we mean a ordinary picture or animation with a link. Banners will be placed on the main site where they can be viewed by every visitor. If the space there runs out, we might also put banners elsewhere.

Readers of this site will be notified of possible updates and extensions to a software as soon as possible. We want to also review all the extensions/updates. As I said earlier we will update our reviews with possible re-written or extended reviews in light of the new features brought by the updates/extensions.

As an NFR partner you will also ensure that there can be tutorials on your software on our site. So with sending us your product you will not only assure that it is reviewed, but also that your product will be part of our site. For example if we write a Editorial it is easier to write about your product if we have it.

NFR Partners are very important to us. This is why we will make company profiles and other nice things on firms that we like and we get along with the best. We want to be friends with companies, not just you sending us products for review, although I expect that our relation with many companies will just stay at this.

We don't want our readers to know only the features and be left at, "It's good" - We want to go deeper. we want to go to the main thing inside them we want to get to the core and see what is good and what is bad. We don't make propaganda for your software, if you want that you might as well go somewhere else.

We want that our readers are not left with, 'oh that was the review', but we try to encourage in looking at other medias. We don't in any terms want to give out a 'definitive review'! At the moment we encourage people to buy Computer Music magazine. "Another suggested thing is to pick up an copy of Computer Music magazine at your local news agent" -quote from the introduction. One of the reasons why we refer our readers to other things beside this website is, because we don't want to redo everything seen on other websites and medias.

One of the main things we want to do with this website is to introduce people to computer music, show them how easy it can be to make music on your computer. Although this is possible, we don't want people to think that they can be the next Daniel Bedingfield in just a second, but rather refer them to material by which they can train their skills.

We hope that we are not the only ones making all the content, but that some of the companies and individuals would also help us since they might have better/deeper understanding of the product.

To sum all those up we will be giving you:

  • Banner time
  • Tutorials to show our readers, how to use them ( if we have time to make them that is)
  • A review full of criticism of the good and the bad things.
  • Also you will find that our server is very reliable, for example check this chart out (courtesy of internetseer)

This is a general outline, the more practical things should be asked. Contact me if interested and we'll go over everything.

    Artists
Any computer music/electronic music artist can sign up to be a featured artist of Flintnt.com, we will host the best of your songs and also can give you feedback/suggestions on your music. On this site we want representatives of all genres: whether it may be trance, heavy metal, classical, we want to post it. Due to the current size limits of our sever, Artists should post in MP3, OGG Vorbis or Real media. We hope the amount of featured artists will increase to about ten or so, before the end of 2003.

Later we could make a compilation CD of the best songs at Flintnt.com to support our cause , we hope that some artists do make it a habit to support us. One way to do this is to give a certain percentage of the money you make to us. Another way is just to have a Flintnt.com logo on top or back of the album (remember to ask for copyright).

    Donations

One good way to support us is to donate money, you don't have to donate a lot of money, and we would be very pleased to receive any amount of money. If you want to support our cause, then e-mail me for more information.

    Staff

Someone joining our staff ,means a lot to us. In the future we want to give our staff something for their efforts, at this point we can't give anything else than discount on some software, but it is still worth it. It doesn't matter if you have never written anything (you'll learn) as long as you have motivation. I myself used to write videogame reviews for a Finnish website, even so it is quite difficult to write reviews on this site.

We are very open to suggestions and questions If you are interested mail me at either flinthoven@hotmail.com or flint@flintnt.com
