Behringer B2 Pro Mircophone
There are plenty of microphones to choose from when it comes to the condenser microphones. Essentially there are so many brands to choose from that it is almost impossible to choose from. And I won't even go to the thousands of brands of dynamic microphones. I chose the Behringer for review because Behringer have a reputation of delivering good quality items at decent prices – both are points that we tight-budget home musicians are looking for. The B2Pro microphone is the best microphone out from Behringer right now and it is not even that expensive. The microphone comes in a transport case with a suspension mount, windscreen and a minimal manual. Minimal manuals seem the standard in Behringer products, the upside is that they come in tens of different languages. The good thing about the microphone is that it is very clear and precise recording tool. The B2Pro is a microphone that produces some warm and clear recordings. It can really give some basic warmth to your recordings without loosing any of the desired preciseness. Not only is the B2Pro an excellent microphone, it also has a switch between three different pickup patterns (cardoid, omnidirectional and figure 8) to choose from making it a microphone that can be used in many ways. It doesn't stop there as this microphone also has a Low Cut Filter to top it off. This seems like the way to go for us home musicians since you get plenty of bang for your buck. I can't see any reason why these microphones couldn't be used for professional use that's how good they are. Overall:
Reviewed by Aleksi Haapajoki 9.0 - It is one of the only good condenser microphones in this price range. What can I say? I am impressed. It is a great sounding microphone that can be used in many situations because of the ability to switch between pickup patterns and the built in low cut filter.
